Obituary for Dennis Kevin McElhatton

Dennis K. McElhatton found peace on February 9th, after an unexpected medical complication at age 67. Beloved father of two, father-in law and grandfather. Father of MSgt Doug McElhatton (USAF, retired) and Holly McElhatton (daughter in-law), and Darrin McElhatton; and grandfather to his only and cherished grandchild Aidan McElhatton. He is also survived by very close family friends that were a part of his life for over 50 years.
Dennis retired after 41 years of dedicated employment to Bradley Corporation in Menomonee Falls. During and after his employment he would proudly point out to anyone a Bradley product that he came across.
To that effect, he imparted information upon his sons as they grew up through the years and well into their adulthood; as he was always eager to explain how each new product he assembled prior to retirement and tested worked with a certain accompanying valve or its “new-fangled” replacement and whatnot (sorry Dad, the flow rate is not strong with this one). Dennis truly enjoyed being associated with the Bradley Corporation during his 41 years of employment, and was proud to be part of the company’s 25-year club.
He also enjoyed entering his department’s chili cook-offs and supplying his co-workers with cooked and baked treats throughout these years.
Memorial will be held Saturday February 18th from 12:00PM to 2:00PM with service to follow at Schramka Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers or cards, please send a donation to a local animal rescue shelter or a humane society. Prior to his passing, he was hoping to adopt two kittens once he regained his health and returned home.
Casual attire is suggested for the memorial service.
