                                      In rememberance of Bob Conradt

Hi ,I'm Ace Van Straten  of Shiocton Wi.  I knew Bob for a long time and we always had a good laugh.  Let me tell you a good one..........................................

Bob always told me that if I was ever in Theinsville, I should stop at the Corner Bar and have a beer on him. One year I happened to be working a street reconstruction job right in front of that Corner Bar.2 coworkers and I decided to stop in for one, on Bob, one nite after work.

I walked into the joint and declared, not too quietly, that Bob Conradt was buying us a beer!  At once , the barkeep lit up and said if Bob was buying a beer ,We should all have one!, and proceeded to set up a round for the house, on Bob!  After the second beer we  [ my coworkers and I] ordered a burger for supper. the barkeep said that too, would be on Bob, as well as a third beer to wash it down.   Quite a guy that Bob, being so generous like that!   Everyone in the Corner Bar agreed with that statement and we all had one more On Bob  before we left!

Fast forward 3 months,, change location to River Rail Bar in Shiocton

Proprietor Dick Wickesberg comes down the bar and asked me when I was going to settle up my 'TAB'.  Anyone who knows me knows that I like to have a few from time to time,  but I don't do tabs. Dick insisted I had one ,so I asked him to produce it so I could verify if I perhaps  I had a few too many and actually did run a tab  .

Upon inspection of said 'TAB', I found the bill was for 4 fish lunches, and 8 expensive 'beverages'!   Billed to Ace Van Straten, Signed for by Bob and Marion and  Denny and Peggy Conradt!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!         What a HOOT!!!!!!!!!!   You could have heard us laugh all the way to Theinsville!

The next time I saw Bob we really laughed at that one!  I most certainly will never forget Bob Conradt.

                                                     Rest in Peace Bob
