Last surviving daughter of Austrian-born parents, Joseph and Johanna Rome. Siblings Edgar (Mildred) Rome, Dorothy (Harold) Schultz and Lenore (James) Clow. The Romes were founding members of Mother of Good Counsel Parish as well as charter members of the Basilica at Holy Hill.
Besides being a devoted wife and Mother, an avid baker, and a tailgating Packer fan, Viona was a dedicated choir member. Her voice, along with Paul’s graced choirs at St. Catherine’s Milwaukee, Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, Milwaukee Catholic Chorus and Irishfest Peace and Justice Choir.
Hers was a life shared with a warm smile for everyone, especially children. There were never any strangers in Mom’s life--just friends she had yet to meet.
