Richard Cobb came into my life by accident 20 years ago. What I found was a man who truly understood the value of people. Henry David Thoreau said “The language of friendship is not words but meanings. “ I have throughout 20 years of experience, known this man to be nothing short of all it means to be an authentic example of the word Concern. If you wanted to know what a man’s best friend was really like, then you would want to know Dick Cobb. He was an anchor of dynamic virtue and realistic balance in my life, and I know when Shakespeare penned these words so many years ago, he was writing about Richard Cobb …………… “A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.” – William Shakespeare I for one will miss him with a genuine sense of painful loss, as one who has witnessed a giant passing through one’s life. He is with the angels now; truly it is our loss and their gain.
