Obituary for Richard G. Cobb

Richard G.  Cobb
Entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the age of 85. He was preceded in heaven by his lovely wife Gloria Werch Cobb who passed away on April 19, 2016. Beloved father of D. Blakely (Cindy) Cobb and Heather (John) Fields. Proud Poppy of Annaleah and Jake Fields. Also survived by other relatives and many friends. Born in Whiting, Iowa in 1932, Richard lived most of his adult life in the Milwaukee area.

Richard impacted the city of Milwaukee for 57 years in two bi-vocational careers of Pastoral Leadership and School Administration. Richard’s passion was serving the Shorewood community as Principal of Atwater School. Additionally, he was the Director of instructional programs for West Allis and West Milwaukee Public Schools, President of Milwaukee Area School Counselors Association and Director of Brown Deer Instructional Services.

Public speaking and writing remained an active engagement in his variety of professional work. Multiple publications were produced including A DIALOGUE WITH GOD. Most notable is the founding and leadership of Faithwalkers Men’s Ministry, a Bible Study program reaching a 50 mile radius of attendees.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be conducted at Eastbrook Church on 5385 N. Green Bay Rd, Milwaukee on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH . Visitation will be from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Service of CELEBRATION at 12:00 p.m. A private burial service for the family will be conducted in Berlin, WI.

The family wants to recognize the staff at Newcastle Place and Horizon Hospice Care for their professional & excellent care in his behalf.
