Condolences

Condolence From: Mark Dietz
Condolence: Tony was my first, best friend shortly after being hired by Harnischfeger Corporation back in 1977.

It was apparent that the firm was blessed with great people who helped Her endure and excel.

Tony willingly shared his working knowledge with this fledgling newcomer.

He had already by then accumulated a decade or two of steady, increasingly valuable service in the realm of photography. Tony's growing archives of photographic images would become of great value to the firm's service mechanics, engineers and marketing management colleagues.

He also was a cherished asset to the firm's Human Resources team that relied upon Tony to capture treasured photos during monthly service awards ceremonies that cemented noteworthy 25- and up to 50-year service anniversaries in behalf of Harnischfeger Corporation.

Tony managed an orderly photography system that captured and easily accessed incredibly valuable images dating back to the 1880s. He covered an incredible "pour" of 1,700 cubic yards of concrete during a wee small hours of the morning expansion of the P&H factory in West Milwaukee.

Tony was a treasure. Executives, including Henry Harnischfeger, sought him out for quality time.

His Photo Department reeked of photographic processing aromas, but also fresh-brewed coffee and Tony's sweet tobacco.

On hot summer days, one could find refuge in Tony's cool photographic cave. On hard, cold winter days, Tony's place was a place of great comfort.

We are marked by the great times and events and people in our lives. Tony Mueller was the first great of many friends of my 35 years within the once great Harnischfeger Corporation.

Thank you, our Heavenly Father, for our life and times with our friend and master photographer, the incomparable Anthony "Tony" Mueller. How great Their ought... - Mark
