Obituary for Margaret Mary Dowling
Born on September 8, 1915 in Milwaukee, WI. Born to Eternal Life on December 22, 2016. Daughter of the late Edward P. Dowling and Josephine Du Feau. Margaret passed away peacefully at the age 101. Margaret was a life-long Catholic who loved her family and her church. She grew up in Milwaukee, worked for Northwestern Mutual Life-Insurance Company for 40 years, then as the parish secretary for Saint Cecilia Congregation in Thiensville for 18 years, and was a member of The Ladies of the Charity for many years. She was a long time resident of Thiensville, WI, then spent the last 8 years of her life as a resident of Alexian Village of Milwaukee where she enjoyed the company of many friends, including her late brother Francis. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, including Edward, Helen, Francis, Gerald, and John. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday December 27th 2016 at 10:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM at Alexian Village, 9301 N. 76th St. Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Lumen Christi School Endowment Fund or the charity of your choice.
The family is very grateful to the staff of Alexian Village of Milwuakee for all of the loving care that Margaret received during the final years of her life.
