Obituary for Nancy M. Voboril

Nancy M. Voboril
(Nee Thelen) Found peace and joined her beloved husband of 50 years Roger in heaven early Sunday morning December 11, 2016 at age 84. Lovingly survived by her six children: Stephen (Ricca), Virginia (Joe) Ferrari, David (Joanna), Janet (Mike) Bilicki, Daniel (Geri), and Joseph. Legacy of descendants includes 23 grandchildren. She is further survived by siblings, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and greatly loved Aunt. She was born on April 18, 1932 into a pioneering family living in Whitefish Bay, the daughter of Claude and Virginia Thelen. In 1938, upon the untimely death of her 29 year old mother Virginia, Nancy and her six siblings were heroically raised by her paternal grandparents Albert and Agnes Thelen who lived to see all of them reach adulthood. Nancy graduated from Whitefish Bay High School in 1950. She met Roger Voboril soon after and they were married on July 26th, 1952, eventually becoming a lifelong Milwaukee resident and member of St. Catherine Parish where she was a devoted member for over 55 years. Nancy was a recognized school crossing-guard and enjoyed her time safely leading young children to school for three decades. In retirement with Roger she meticulously took care of her grandchildren, enjoyed Lawrence Welk, word search puzzles and taking care of her vast doll collection. Her final days at Care-Age of Brookfield were simple but filled with activities carefully conducted by a wonderful staff who grew to love her and, Joyce, her loving roommate during her stay.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 19, 3:00 PM at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 5101 W. Center St. Visitation Monday at the Church from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM. Private burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Care-Age of Brookfield are greatly appreciated.
