Robert Hughes Rech, age 92, of Thiensville, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2016 at the Lawlis Family Hospice. He was born June 23, 1924 in Minneapolis, MN. to Willis and Estella (Hughes) Rech. Robert graduated from Marquette University and served in the Navy in World War II. He was a life member of Cudworth American Legion Post no. 23 in Milwaukee, WI. He married the love of his life, Alice Ann (Allie) Ott on June 26, 1948 at St Monica Catholic Church in Whitefish Bay. Robert was a Professional Engineer in the state of Wisconsin. He was a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and served as Chairman of the Milwaukee Section of I.E.E.E. in 1969.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Priscilla (William) Flood of Stoughton, WI, three sons, Robert Rech Jr. of Magalia, CA, John (Mary Cain) Rech of Milwaukee and Paul Rech of Gardner, MA. He is further survived by six grandchildren, Evan Flood, Erich Rech, Greg Rech, Jessica Rech, Bryan (Kelly Patterson) Rech and Cassilly (Malcolm) Higgins, four great grandchildren as well as a sister Joan Donahue, a brother John (Mary) Rech, many nieces and nephews and special friend Rosemary Hilber.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Allie, his second wife Dorelyn Gase, six sisters, Rosemary Wellnitz, Carol Schoening, Corrine Crumley, Marion Rech, Marilyn Peery, Janet Van Natta and one brother, Willis Rech Jr.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday August 26, 2016 at Lumen Christi Church in Thiensville. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon. Friends may call at the church on August 26 after 9:30.
